He nodded and looked down at the Howler, he knew he was in deep trouble or his mother was going to kick him out. He knew if he never opened the damn letter that he wouldn't hear any screams from his mother. All he had to do was leave it closed and the letter wouldn't start on its own. Of course he rather throw it in the lake than open it but he knew he would eventually have to read it. He smiled at Harry though and pat his shoulder. He knew it was going to be a long and horrible day with that Howler. "It's probably my parents wanting me to take my things out of the house. I ran away from them before school started. I'm staying with James and his family. Bloodly parents blew me off the tree before I left." he grinned at the last part cause he remembered it. He sighed gently and placed his hand at his side.
"One of my family members gave me an inheritance so I wouldn't have to worry about the money bid." he spoke gently and looked down at the Howler again, oh he was so not in a hurry to open it. He just shoved it in his pocket and looked up at Harry. "They probably want me to remove all the muggle women I have on my old bedroom walls and the Gryffindor flags and such. I rather leave it there" he said with a small chuckle. He knew he would keep getting Howlers but all he had to do was not open it and he would be safe. He smiled at Harry. "If you need anything at all, just ask. I'm sure James will allow you to stay seeing as your family." he spoke gently.

Harry had heard about Sirius' parents kicking him out. Though he didn't know if his parents had taken down the pictures he was talking about. Harry's mind wandered to the day that Sirius showed him the family tree, which had several people blown off including Sirius and Andromeda. At that time he didn't know that Sirius would be dead within a year of the conversation and that was when Kreacher was told to get out, and well... he went out of the houses and met up with some of the other relatives not blown off the tree. The day that it all had began the process up to Sirius' death.
"Were they really that bad? I mean I can't imagine running from even the worst of parents," Harry replied, knowing that he had run away from the Dursleys' once, but he had returned the next year. Harry knew that Sirius wouldn't return. No matter how much he hated the Dursleys he couldn't imagine running away forever, especially when Dumbledore kept insisting he go back, but even still, no matter how much he wanted to, Harry knew he wouldn't until he was a grown up or had to leave because of Voldemort, at least forever.
"That's always good," Harry said about the money inheritance, having not remembered Sirius mentioning it before, "Why can't they take it down themselves?" Harry didn't know. Maybe Sirius had taken a feather from his mum's book and put a permanent stick charm on the pictures and flags and such. Teenage rebellion at it's best, and this time it was a good thing given how terrible Sirius' parents were. "I dunno yet, but if a few of my friends aren't able to land us a place, I will definitely talk with James." Not as a last resort of course. But if a few of the transfers got together, like the Weasleys, and were able to get a place, then he would probably join them, even if he wanted to live with James and he would probably visit him a lot anyways.

"Were they really that bad? I mean I can't imagine running from even the worst of parents,"
He gave Harry a look when he asked him if they were bad or not. Oh, Sirius was so very depressed with his family after he was sorted in Gryffindor. He knew he had disappointed his parents, but did Sirius care? Not really thats why he was always going against his parents and made the final move out and into James place. Of course, he was grateful of James and everything he had done for Sirius. Sirius knew that one day he would repay James one way or another. He cleared his throat and looked at Harry.
"Well, how would you like it if your parents treated you differently just because you were a Gryffindor? Or if you didn't mind muggles. Or assoicated yourself with half-bloods and muggle-born witches and your parents were disappointed and ashamed of you living in the same house? I wouldn't want to live in that house so I moved out. Besides that didn't feel like home. James family made it feel like I belonged somwhere." he spoke honestly to Harry as he looked at him. Sirius was wise and always had been. He was given money and the privilage to move out of that forsaken place that he had to go to after the holidays.
"Why can't they take it down themselves? I dunno yet, but if a few of my friends aren't able to land us a place, I will definitely talk with James."
"I put a permanet charm on them so the only person that can remove it is me and me only...unless I die of course, than all magic would undo itself." he spoke about the pictures and such on the walls he had on his home. He sighed a bit and figured maybe he should take it off the walls just so his parents would stop bothering him. He figured maybe he should go during the weekend. Sirius was always clever about getting his way and doing things on his own terms. He knew he would go this weekend.
"Thats good, I hope the move works for you." he spoke softly with a smile.

Harry understood where Sirius was coming from, and didn't want to convince him out of it, but wanted to know if there was anything else. Sure Sirius' parents were bloody bad, but weren't the Dursleys exactly as Sirius described, and yet he felt he had to return, no matter how terrible it was, almost like something tethered him there. The Dursleys were ashamed to have a wizard in the house, and treated him different for something he couldn't even control.
"I completely understand. I had to live with my aunt and uncle, and they were ashamed just to have a wizard in the house. Heck, they even let my cousin try to beat me up," Harry replied, stressing the key word of try. Dudley really didn't get him very often, and when he did, it wasn't so bad.
"That is amazing! It would really make them mad if they couldn't get it down," Harry replied happily, thinking of the irony of Sirius being mad he couldn't get his mother's portrait down and just years before he made his parents angry for not being able to take his pictures down.
"I hope so, it's much different here than everywhere else," Harry sighed, not missing his time, but really just his friends, especially Ginny, Ron and Hermione.
