It was 1996
Harry Potter was sleeping soundly one night in August, 1996. Finally the wizarding world believed him about Voldemort's return and it was finally getting somewhat better. Sirius Black was a casualty of this realization of this epiphany, but that wouldn't get the hopes down of the Order and those from Dumbledore's Army.
The final, inevitable showdown between Harry and Voldemort inched closer and the tension in the wizarding world could be felt all around. Everyone could feel it was going to break soon, it was just a matter of time. All they could do was stay alive and hope to live another day without the trouble of Voldemort or in the Death Eaters case, Harry.
Then it was 1976
The next morning they found themselves in an unknown world, with familiar faces. Upon realizing the arrival of these unknown people, Dumbledore gathered all of those who didn't belong and told them to tell the story that they were transfers from the United States of America.
Harry and those who went to sleep that August night in 1996 had transported to a new time, one of their parents, and the year of 1976.
Everything seems absolutely normal, or as normal as it can be at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. School, Studying, Pranks, and just overall fun seems to be the attitude of the students at Hogwarts. That is until what it seems is out of the blue, students begin arriving at Hogwarts in hoards. Overnight the student population seems to double.
With this new and sudden hoard of transfer students, the students from Hogwarts don't seem to know how to take it. Some avoid these transfers, some accept these transfers, and some ask intrusive questions about where they came from, but all of the transfers don't want to talk about their previous home.
The 'transfers' could change the course of history, or they could do nothing. Will word get out of the 'transfers' true origins? If they do what effect will it have on the future? The war with Voldemort is on the verge of eruption, and when it does, who's side will you take?
