When: September 1st 1976 - Mid Afternoon Where: Hallway In Between Classrooms Who: Sirius and Regulus Black OOC Notes: Thread closed and archived due to loss of player for Sirius Black and Regulus Black
Sirius was pretty tired after all of his classes today. At the moment he was at his last one and he knew personally he wanted to run out of here and just relax in his nice warm bed. He relaxed his head on the plan of his hands, holding his head up so he wouldn't fall asleep. He knew eventually he would, the Howler he received him his parents wouldn't stop bloody screaming about the charms he had on his bedroom walls. He was considering going over there to take off the muggle women pictures he had, but he figured his mother could scream a little more and just be tortured every time she walked in.
His mothers screams was ringing in his head as he sat there trying to focus in his class. He didn't even remember what class he was in, he just knew he was in the right one. As he sat there staring at the teacher's lips move, he yawned a bit. He knew it was going to be a long day. He wasn't looking forward to later though, he had an assignment to do on potions. He really wasn't looking forward since he just remembered about that paper. Once the teacher dismissed the class, Sirius got up with his bag and walked out of the class.
He was walking down the hallway and just closed his eyes for a second thinking about the struggle him and his parents had. He remembered his mother burning the face off the family tree and him taking most of his things. He was now living with James Potter and he couldn't be anymore happier. He yawned once more before walking down the hall again. Why did he feel so sluggish? Its definitely not his day today.

Regulus was probably in the wrong place, he usually was now. He didn’t really give a damn though, what mattered was that he got his classes done, he was in with the people who would help the Dark Lord to rise to a great power, and not much else. He didn’t give a damn about how people perceived him, he didn’t care if they disliked him, or if the teachers got annoyed. He was there to make his mother proud, to lessen the humiliation of the Black family that Sirius had brought upon the family.
So, while bunking off a potions class, he knew his way around Slughorn to make it not too bad that he’d missed a class, he had found himself on the first floor. He was wandering aimlessly, for now at least, until he saw his brother. A sneer came to his face, twitching his lips at the blood traitor. Regulus didn’t hate Sirius because of the blood traitor part of him…not much at least, what Regulus hated was the fact that when Sirius had found a way out of their home, he hadn’t thought of trying to get Reg out too. Now Regulus was stuck in the Black home with a house elf for company, and with a mother who was ten times harder on him to try and make up for the disappointment of her first son.
Though when faced with Sirius, Regulus didn’t know what to say, he had no smart mouthed comment ready, nor a way to hurt him verbally, if he could he would have hexed him there and then, but alas, Regulus knew that starting a fight would be bad for his reputation, especially if he were to start it while Sirius had his back turned. If nothing else, Regulus knew of honour, and wouldn’t fight dirty, unless of course he had to. But this time, instead of starting some verbal or wand fight, he bumped his shoulder against his brother’s and muttered to him. “Blood traitor.” Before beginning to walk off, if Sirius was to follow and start something, Regulus would be happy to finish it, but for now, this was enough to calm the anger he felt.

Sirius was minding his own business at the time. His mother would send those Howlers and every night Sirius would dread getting them a little more. But as he had moved in with the Potters, he felt as though life was much better. He was enjoying his time with the Potters and he felt like it was truly home to him, like Hogwarts was. He knew his family would cause problems, with the Potters, it was a different place...almost like a different time. He knew that he would be best friends with James for a long time and he didn't mind that at all. He was always on his side and he was loyal to him. Sirius knew a friendship like that would never die.
As he was walking he bumped into someone and before he turned around to apologize, he saw his brother and murmured something about him being a blood traitor. Oh does the Black family ever want to leave him alone? He didn't know what he would do, its like drama that never seemed to crease, inside it grew into something ugly. He just gave his brother a blank stare and than shook his head from side to side. Sirius understood he was the black sheep of the family, but he never felt like that with James around and he knew he felt at peace with James. Nothing could stand in the way of their friendship, not even the Black family.
"You could say that. But why should I care what you think?" he spat back towards his brother. Sirius was slightly upset on the count that his family never seemed to leave him alone. If Sirius could do something about his family, he would place muggle pictures all along the walls just to drive them insane. That would be a wonderful thing, but his mother always found a way to contact him. Oh, wouldn't that be a pain?

Regulus glared at his brother and sneered once more as his brother spat out his words. Regulus glowered darkly before smirking. “That’s up to you, but it isn’t only me who thinks it, so in that idea, maybe you should worry about what everyone thinks. Though…everyone always knew you were a waste of time and space in our family.” Regulus sneered. He shook his head and flicked his hair out of his eyes, to make sure he could see. “You’re worth nothing, the whole wizarding world knows it.”
He sighed and moved his head to let his neck crack. He disliked his brother a lot, had felt extremely hurt from what he’d done when he’d left. Regulus had felt extremely betrayed to say the least. Now he was stuck with his mother screaming in his ear, forcing him to do his ‘best’ which included pushing him and pushing him until Regulus knew the only way to get her to shut up would be to just get things over and done with and become the man she wanted him to become. At fifteen, Regulus already had to make sure he knew that he would become one of the Dark Lord’s men, no matter what the cost. All because he had the weight of his own life, and the mess that Sirius had left in his leave on his shoulders.
The truth was, Regulus was terrified of what was going to happen to him. He hated the idea that he would have to go into a job he didn’t want, marry a girl that held no meaning to him, become someone many people loathed. But for his mother, he seemed to have to do all of this, no matter what. His life was dictated by her, he was to marry a pureblood, probably an arranged marriage, he was to become a Death Eater (though this was his own idea, as he knew that it would please his mother more if he was to come up with a reason to become something she wanted).
Regulus glared at Sirius, and in a sudden idea, he moved and spat on his shoes before sneering and beginning to walk away.

“That’s up to you, but it isn’t only me who thinks it, so in that idea, maybe you should worry about what everyone thinks. Though…everyone always knew you were a waste of time and space in our family. You’re worth nothing, the whole wizarding world knows it.”
Sirius just laughed at him as he made his little speech. He really didn't care what the others were thinking about him. All he cared about was his friends, nothing meant more to him than that. Although, his schooling sometimes did as well, thats how he did so well anyways and how he got away with things. Sirius was that gifted, to do jokes and to be a very smart student. That was a gift indeed. James was just as clever, maybe even more clever. But he was glad his friends were his best friends. He didn't know what he would do without them.
"Does everyone mean mother?" he grinned at his brother, rubbing it in that he was free from her and he wasn't. He though his mother was horrible and he didn't mind bringing her inthe subject. Of course, Sirius was free from that scum of his family. All he had left was his brother to deal with now and once he was free from Hogwarts, he would no longer have to asscoiate with any kind of family member except Andromeda, which she was with a muggle born wizard. Ah, he loved that cousin out of the others.
"I dont care what you and the rest your family think. I have a new family to take care of now and they think I'm worth it and its enough for me." he said rather harashly and he was proud to say it as well. He didn't care what other people thought or what they did to him. He was glad that he had his friends and he would never trade them back in the world. He watched at his brother spat at his shoes and he merely shook his head from side to side. Oh, how he liked to start things.
"This is why I left in the first place," he spoke gently and just turned around, his back towards his brother and he kept walking.

Regulus raised an eyebrow at his brother’s laugh. He couldn’t believe how his brother didn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. Regulus sneered again slightly. He watched him slowly and listened to the bullshit his brother came out with. “Everyone means everyone.” Regulus’ lip twitched at the mention of his mother. He really couldn’t stand the woman, even though he’d never leave her as his brother had. Regulus had a lot of scars, mentally and psychically alike, but Regulus hadn’t told his brother any of it. At ten years old, he was both too scared to tell anyone about his mother’s cruelty and didn’t want to seem a wuss to his brother, who obviously had some courage in him.
His blood boiled in his veins when Sirius spoke of his new family. He was jealous, he knew he was, though most people thought it was just anger for what his brother had done, but it was deeper than anyone could ever know, deeper than anything Regulus could explain. He knew to keep his mother on his side and yet stay away from her so that he wouldn’t have the problems with her. Regulus had a twisted sense of honour when it came to his family, he couldn’t help it, he still had that twisted messed up pride that his mother had told him he must have, and yet he didn’t believe in the values of pure bloods one hundred percent. In truth, he was probably a coward. He made no qualms.
Regulus said nothing about the new family that Sirius had. Blood traitors were worse than mudbloods, but when Sirius said about why he left, Regulus decided to try and taunt him. “You left because you’re a coward. Couldn’t face up to her, so you left. I don’t know why Gryffindor still keeps you in that house.” Regulus said to his brother’s back.
